Melany has been in Sweet Adelines for more than 40 years and has held many roles on both the Music
Team and the Management Team. She holds a degree in Business Administration and a minor in vocal
performance. Her quartets have been with both friends and family and Surprise! achieved Regional first
place. During the day she works for a medical device company in Technical Sourcing for Structural Heart
R&D projects. This isn't just a hobby, but a true passion and lifestyle for her and her husband who enjoy
singing along with each other and their dogs at home and family in other states.
On the theory of 'if I still have checks, I must have money,' this passionate group of women voted me in as Finance Coordinator 6 years ago and I am still going strong...hello? Anyone believe in term limits? All kidding aside, I feel pretty sure that I know what is going on and if not, I know who to ask. Best part of the job?...ok, moving along...
I joined PEC in 1993 and have only ever been a member of PEC. I have been a Team Leader in the past and am most known for putting on the best crab feed in the universe. I am passionate about these ladies and want to make sure our finances are secure and up to date at all times.
Sue has been a member of Sweet Adelines since 2011, all singing with Pacific Empire Chorus. She has been the PEC Visual Team Coordinator and overall Visual Team member for 4 years. Her Front Row expertise comes from many years of experience...Front Row performer for 8 years and 27 years of teaching public school (Junior High), Physical Education and Dance. She also was an international traveler, participating in local dances in East Africa and the former Soviet Union.
